Established in 2025 the "BH Lifetime Achievement" Award is presented to the individual who has made significant contributions to their field over the course of their career. An ideal candidate has a minimum of 20 years of involvement in the industry they represent. This candidate must also be well respected, highly sought out and in good standing with the industry they represent.
Selection criteria is based on, but not limited to:
1. Serves as a Leader and/or Mentor to Youth
2. Success Over their Career
3. Significant Contributions in their Genre
4. Consistency, Originality, Creativity in their Genre
5. Recognition from Colleagues in their Industry

#BHawards 2025 finalists will be selected by a committee of industry professionals. Each award category will have a team of panelists unique to the specific group of people it represents. For example, only BH Lifetime Achievement Prospects will be eligible to become committee members for the "Broadcast Houston Lifetime Achievement" Award. Committee members are only allowed to nominate colleagues in the specific category they represent, eliminating corruption & voting pacts. Committee membership is invite-only, but individuals that meet the "Industry's Choice" criteria may apply for committee membership below.
BHLA Industry's Choice Commitee requirements:
1. Must be a BH Lifetime Achievement Prospect
2. Must be currently active in the industry they represent
3. Must have several years of experience in the industry they represent
4. Must be well respected in the industry they represent
5. Must have bona fide knowledge of the history & future of the genre
BHLA will have 0 finalists:
1. The BH Legend recipient will be selected by a committee of Ambassadors & Tastemakers
2. There will be no formal voting process for this award
