Established in 2018 and previously named "Visual Aid" Award, the "Model/Dancer of the Year" Award is presented to the Model, Dancer or Visual Aid who demonstrates extraordinary skills & obtains remarkable success in the genre of Modeling or Dancing.
Selection criteria is based on, but not limited to:
1. Organic Social Media Engagement for Modeling or Dancing
2. Success of their Most Recent Body of Work
3. Growth from the Previous Year
4. Consistency, Originality, Creativity in their Genre
5. Recognition from Colleagues in their Category

#BHawards 2025 finalists will be selected by a committee of industry professionals. Each award category will have a team of panelists unique to the specific group of people it represents. For example, only Models, Dancers or Visual Aid's will be eligible to become committee members for the "Model/Dancer of the Year" Award. Committee members are only allowed to nominate colleagues in the specific category they represent, eliminating corruption & voting pacts. Committee membership is invite-only, but individuals that meet the "Industry's Choice" criteria may apply for committee membership below.
MDOTY Industry's Choice Commitee requirements:
1. Must be a Model, Dancer or Visual Aid
2. Must be currently active in the entertainment industry
3. Must have several years of experience in the entertainment industry
4. Must be well respected in the entertainment industry
5. Must have bona fide knowledge of the history & future of the genre
MDOTY will have 2 groups of finalists:
1. People's Choice Finalists - Winner selected by the fans
2. Industry's Choice Finalists - Winner selected by industry professionals
