Established in 2017 and previously named "Best Culture Changer" Award the "Humanitarian of the Year" Award is presented to the Philanthropist who demonstrates extraordinary compassion & leaves a remarkably positive impact on society.
Selection criteria is based on, but not limited to:
1. Organic Social Media Engagement for Philanthropy
2. Success of their Most Recent Body of Work
3. Growth from the Previous Year
4. Consistency, Originality, Creativity in their Genre
5. Recognition from Colleagues in their Category

#BHawards 2025 finalists will be selected by a committee of industry professionals. Each award category will have a team of panelists unique to the specific group of people it represents. For example, only Humanitarians will be eligible to become committee members for the "Humanitarian of the Year" Award. Committee members are only allowed to nominate colleagues in the specific category they represent, eliminating corruption & voting pacts. Committee membership is invite-only, but individuals that meet the "Industry's Choice" criteria may apply for committee membership below.
HOTY Industry's Choice Commitee requirements:
1. Must be a Humanitarian
2. Must be currently active in the philanthropy industry
3. Must have several years of experience in the philanthropy industry
4. Must be well respected in the philanthropy industry
5. Must have bona fide knowledge of the history & future of the philanthropic industry
HOTY will have 0 finalists:
1. The BH Legend recipient will be selected by a committee of Ambassadors & Tastemakers
2. There will be no formal voting process for this award
